(Results on page 16) BY Carol Sims Photos by Dennis Greene GARDENA, CaI. , July 12 Attired in sparking ·White Knight" leathers, San Diego' s Mel Lacher took yet another clean sweep of Friday night half-mile events at Ascot- fastest heat race , Trophy Dash and a nag-to-nag win in the i5-lap Main Event on his hot Harley-Davidson. The new season point leader turned back BSA-mounted DeWayneKeeter(who finished second in the Main, won his heat and took a third in the 0lSh) to snatch his seventh straight Main Event win wi th .a fan- pleasing flourish. Following Keeter to third spot was teammate Shorty Seabourne, aboard the other Dick KeIrn BSA, ahead of Chuck Jones (BSA) who had a r tp-snortinbattle with Seabourne and Ralph White, also BSA , for many laps .
