REVEllERS HOST ~ Yamaha's Blli Ivy turned a 105.51 =: Man TT ' course to shatter Mike Hailwood's 1967 record set on the Honda SiX 250. Glacome Agostln1 stated that Blli's standing start on the 250 Yamaha produced a faster lap time than Ihe best flYing start lap time he had recorded on the 350 MY. Klaus ' Enders and BMW passenger Horst Schneider set a new sidecar record at the 37-mUe Isle of Man course. Klaus and Horst proceeded to set a 24 minute lap which works out to a fantastic 94.32 mph AVERAGE. Then apprOXlmately a few minutes past two hours after the event was concluded he was protested, checked, and dtsquallfied for being undersized. This Is the first time in AMA htstory that a National winner has been disqualified for being undersized. To top It all off, two hours after the end of the program Is way too late 10 disqualify a r ider, or so says the AMA rule book•••what are we to do ? Seems to me that our great dictalors somewhere In Ohio should get together and use what Intelligence lhey have to find a reasonable solution to the problems and discrepancies that are coming up all over the country, FACE IT, many of the AMA riders are unhappy about all sorts of situations that have come to a head In the last few months. David Priddy not only won first In his h1llc1lmb class but had top time of the day with a 7.3-second rider of the top. The h1ll was slick and smooth as glass which made It twice as hard for the riders and especla1ly for Sborty Saile d, Until ••• Last Friday night, Shorty Seabourne came off the Ascot Maln Event starting line like there was no tom orrow and proceeded to keep the number one spot pegged down until th e seventh lap when he slid out In the nor th turn. Everyone missed the slide-out but for Pat Gosch and down he went. Both riders were a little shaken up but otherwtse all right. Shorty's Dick KeIrn- sponsored BSA was a little the worse for wear as the front end was pretty well messed UP. One
