to be obtained on an old fashioned scavenger hunt. Among the items to be obtalned were a confederate flag and a
plastie from a toDless go-go girl.
A deadline of 2 p.m, was set at whicb
time all participants were to be at the
termination point at Deer Horn Valley
Lodge out on the old Campo Road eastof
Jamul. There a big feed of hot dogs and
baked beans was served which had been
prepared right on the grounds.
Three trophies were presented for the
scavenger hunt which was won by Stan
and Laura Davis who brought in everything except the Confederate Flag. Laura
Davis also received a trophy for the
oldest female AMA membership, 10
years. Ann Reeves of the Mary's Men
M.C. won second prize for the hunt and

A life member of the AMA Joe Gobbi

He wouldn't say how long exactly, but
he's been a member for more than 25
years. Nancy Matot, riding her new Handa 350, won the female solo tropby and
Lanny Gilmore got the male solo prize.
The Bob Warner famtly of the Mary's
Men r eceived the family group trophy,
One rider in the hunt didn't have to
chase down a confederate flag. He's an
active campaigner for George Wallace
and carries a metal confederate flag on
his rear fender. The committee counted
it. Jim Lee of the Vista Travellers rode
the entire run with five persons on his
big Harley. The smallest cbUd rode the
tank in front of Jim while Mrs. Lee and
the other two kids rode behind him. It
was pretty startling to see. The run was
carried off smoothly and everyone had a
wonderful day of fun and fellowship appreciated only by those who love cycles
and cycling.
