hill one cane see for mlles, and nearly
3000 spe ctator s were on hand for the
cl1mb on Mar ch 31 near Bakerstteld,
caur., sp r inkled over the green-covered
hllls and s itting under shade trees.
Top time of the day was set by Fr ank
Dur so on his mighty BSA. 11 took him
5.82 seconds to conquer the crest. The
Ponti boys also did well as always, but
they might have had a harder time if
Campbell club members had been competing. They have some tine riders and
equipment themselves.
All went well , and the only sort of accident occurred when Manuel Ponti , J r.
flipped after breaking the ttnlsh line and

circle and landed on top of him, but
luckily he got off with only a sklnnedarm.
