Fifty-five was not a bad turnout , considering events of past A.H.R.A. competition, the time ot year and etc. The Association gave me a free hand to give awards and run eliminations as I saw fit, with only one big headache. I had to keep by the book in classifications . It has i mpr oved some, but not enough. The rules are not defined in specificati ons of li mite d modifications, but I a m presenting the A.H.R .A. and president Mr . Jim Tice , with rules suggested by the racers as are now r un at Lions and Irwindale Dra g Strips . :Borls Murray fre..wbeelln c to a best run of 10.77 - 149.00 mph. I did not use a handicap for Top b1ke or Middle bike and gave my interpretation of what I think these te rms should mean. I also cu t down the prize money from one purse in each division and paid r unne r- up in Fue l , second and third place in Middle and U ttle bike. There was only one loud complaint from a winner about not getting all. A few mumbles from the ranks and two prote sts to classification points. The whole show didn't go bad except for the fai l ure of machines to fire on saturday night and tha t's just the way It goes . All In all, I had a good three days at the A.H.R.A. Winter Nationals an d hope the racers did as well. (Results on page 16) Fairings and Saddlebags for Moto Guzzi V7 • The maeblne awned by Tam Canlan and ridden by Dlsl ulloan liIat wan Tap Bi ke.
