The ODe day poker ran started at Paul's Huley-DavidsoD iD Bell· Dower IUd maud the finish at Westside Park in Nornllt. The TIgers bad set a 2 p.m. deadline and !bey stuck to It. Most of lbe riders bad arrived by 1 O'clock and Jess Mc Whorter got lbe games underway. By 1:45 the cyclists bad !brown a number of eggs at each other and walked one another around (wilb an egg In their moulb) In an Interesting version of lbe wbeelbarrow race. At 2 p.m. sharp, lbe trophy winners were announced and the gold awarded. By 2: 30 lbe riders were streaming out of lbe park beading for borne wilb plenty of sunlight left for lbe trip. Cottee and donuts were served at the start and the El Tigre's bad arranged for a catering truck to be at the flntsh. The one Item that most of lbe riders appreciated was the entry fee - only 99~. At a secret cbeck point Joe Lewis found an old, rare 1943 lead penny wilb his poker card and found it bought him the surprise trophy of lbe day. On the recommendation of the Executive Board, the Lancer'S M.C. was accepted for membership In the RRC. The Lancers were formerly members of the organization, but dropped out wben their club went inactive about two years ago. They just recently reorganized. Several changes to the By-Laws were Introduced at the October meeting and were brought back for action during the November meeting. 1. Authored by Del Brummett of the California Eagles: To penalize each member club wbose RRC Representatives or substitutes fall to work the two annual RRC sponsored events (Spring Tour and Pine Cone). The !lollY turned down the bill and Hal Brown of !be California Eagles immediately re-submltted it for action at the December meeting. 2. Moved by Bud Paul oflbeRalnbows: To conduct training classes for the member club'S Chart stewards wilbln two montbs of tbe1r election or RRC will not accept the club's charts.
