Plenty To Do 'Ibe earlY arrivals found many activities such as swimming, ping-pong, volleyb8ll, boating and'f1shiDg to occupy tbelr time until the Wheels started tbe games at 1 p.m. Games using the motorcycles started tbe afternoon's activities. First off was tbe Shalom, using old auto tires spaced 12 feet apart as pylons. Not too many of the contestants were able to make it through without touching their feet tothe ground. Some of the cyclists were dismayed to learn that Ibis game will be part of the test for tbe motorcycle driver's license when it becomes lawonly tbe pylons will be 11 feet apart. Everyone made it through the plank ride with the strings about 18" apart. However, when the Wheels narrowed the width to 6", tbe smaller bikes reallY aced out the big Barleys. Some of the big-twin riders sbowed excellent cootrol of their mounts traveling down the narrow path with only a half-inch to spare. '!be wiDner, Mickey Herod 011 a Honda, had three times that much room. Edwin Cozad, riding a M!I5tang, took tbe slow race, beating out Herod and Lance Mehus. All of tbe contestants thought the Married Wheels had taIcen tbe time to hard-cook the eggs used in the egg race; Ha-Ha-Haa. Ed cuzad was the first to realize tbe truth. He only had four whole eggs in his shirt when be finished tbe run after picking up five. Mickey Herod woo the event holding five whole 0'!!!l.Wbel} ,he f1nisI!!!d....
