Last /light race for the Trackers
at Lincoln, Calif. on Sept. 10 and
High Point Tropmes for the season.

Lincoln High-Pointer
Cbildress should bave won high point
at Lodl, but he turned Expert too soon.
At Lincoln be took the bigh point Tropby
even though be didn't win anything the
final nlght. Should Jim be taking lessons
from Sue? Her brother likes to come
from behind to win wbiIe she likes to
take the lead from the 'start, and rode
a boney of a race for a first time on the
track.
In the 100 Novice Main there was a
five- way go for first but Victor Krill
came out on top with Ron Toby andsteve

In the 100 Amateur-Expert Main Tom
Christensen was first oft the line first
followed by Kenny Roberts. Wy In the
back were James Childress and Bill

first about the same time and were
passing riders right and lett. '!bey
caugbt up to Tom and somebow all got
tangled. Bill and James plied Into the

There were two preUy good races
going on in the 100 Main at the
Sierra Club Scrambles in Lincoln.
Calif•• held Sunday aftemoon. Sept.
10. Charles Marley took a quick lead.
with both Lester Sturgeon and Ralph

close. Then from way back come's
Steve Thomas to jump into second.
He and Charles baUle wheel to
wheel for the lead. while Ralph and
Lesta go for third peg to peg. Two
by two they stayed this way for
several laps••• then Charles went on
to win.
