Oregon, National Number 69, and winner of the Expert Trophy Dash. Third went to Larry Garbe of Vancouver. B.C•• and fourth was nailed down by Dick Jagow of Gresham, Oregon. TlJe .Amateur Main was won by Dan Holton of Sumner. followed by Ross Roberts of Yakima. who was on his tailpipe for 20 exciting laps but was unable to gain that extra yard that spells victory or defeat. Ito) ....Int...._ Silvey ShODe If one rider can be singled out for outstanding performance. it must be Novice Champion for 1967 at Graham. Dale Silvey of Auburn. This young charger was last off the line when another rider's bike hit his at the start and he went into the first turn fully twentY' yards behind the pack. Riding like the proverbial white torando, passing both on the inside and the out, Silvey dove into nearly non-existent holes and by lap 12. he was in the lead and for the last three laps, it was clear sailing to the checkered flag. Cappy Skeen of Kirkland was second, closely followed by Steve Holton of Sumner and Jerry Shirley of Tacoma. It was a fitting climax to a thrilling nineteen weeks of professional racing at Graham Speedway. With the season·officially over.
