One of the more interesting classes at Elsinore brings out the competfti ve spirit of everyone involved. Names like ·Pursang, Husky, Matador, Challenger, Sprint, and Scorpion,· representing their various makes are some of the ingredien ts which give this battle its color. In the first Moto, J. Kato made a good start ahead of Chuck Hatcher and was holding the lead well when he threw it away directly after the sweeper, leaving Hatcher to go on to win. J. Kopp came in second with J. Erickson getting third. In the second Moto, we saw hardriding J. Kopp on the loud Greeves again do the hole shot on Hatcher and the rest of the gang. The last Moto was won by Hatcher with Kopp second, and J. Erickson third. In the 250'-Novice ranks, L. Taylor rode hard for his win in this class with B. Williams winning second. Mike Chamberlain won one and Clutch Cargo the other two 01 the 500 to Open class Motos. 500-0p en Expert Las Vepn Chuck Hatcher might as well stop coming to Elsinore on the weekends.
