WORLD SHOW JUNE Dignities Injured Considerable dirt has been added to the big sweeper tum at the end of the chute and banked very high, resulting in even more spectacular speeds. The Novice and Amateur riders halldled this turn quite well but a number of the sportsman riders flew through the air - and not always with the greatest of ease. However, only pride and dignity were injured. Good helmets and leathers are worth their weight in gold at a time like this. BRIDGESTONE ~ Inches Apart In the second heat of the Open Class Mota-cross, Hugh Fleming of Alderwood Manor on a BSA and Jim Strode of Kirkland ona Triumph were one-two in one of the closest heats of the day. They were inches apart for nine laps until both went down in a spectacular end for end crash anci~ Mike Annen of Bothell sped by to finish first on a Triumph. Luckily, neither rider was hurt. Points won in the first heat gave Jim Strode first place and Hugh Fleming second in the Open M A' Main. Winner of the second heat, Mike Annen, placed third on points. A track magnificent for 250 racing was given a real workout by Dick Waller of Bothell on his Bultaco in winning first place in the 250 M A' Main from Tom ,Anderson of Seattle on a Greeves. In third place was John Alber of Brier riding a Kawasaki. Mark Anderberg of Seattle also found the track to his liking in winning the 250 "B" Main on his Bultaco over John Moe of Seattle on a Ducati. Rudy Southern and his Yamaha claimed third place. Husky Husky Husqvarna rider Corky Wasmund of Bothell led the pack to win the 250 MC' Main. Jim Lavelle of Seattle taking third on a Ducati. The 100's were run eight to a h eat instead of the usual six and everyone seemed to agree that it helped the show. Dan Brecht of Edmonds on his brand new Kawasaki 100 couldn't have cared if there were 80 motorcycles in the 100cc MA' Main. He literaily tore them apart for the eight laps, Winning by a half a lap over his nearest competitor. Tim Visaya of Seattle was second on a Hodaka, with Steve Bythe way of Seattle, third on a Yamaha. Bill Noble of Auhurn rode his Honda to victory in the 100cc "B" Main. John Engelcke of Edmonds took second place ridingaKawasaki.
