More than 10.000 motorcycle [aDS roamed the eJp8llsive Shrine Auditorium to view the International Sport Cycle Exposition. held in Los Angeles during April 6-9. Theee was something there [or everyone, including bright and shiny new models. rock-and-roll band,
racing movies, antiques, balloons [or the kids, pretty girls [or the older set, ad
infinitum.
O[ special interest was a prototype motorcycle teaching-testing machine built by Cycle News, a large array o[ custom and special interest
bikes organized by the American Motorcycle Service Association,
Dan Gurney's Ail-American Eagle formula car located in the
Montesa booth, and an electric motorcycle.
Making their bedut at the show were two new models [rom BSA. square-barrelled street version of
the 44Icc Victor and an all-new 250 called the
StarHte. Kawasaki introduced three models,
including the 250cc Samurai street'scrambler, a I20cc street scrambler, &
a 40.5 horsepower 350 known
as the Avenger. The next
