Fi ve hundred and twenty spectators watched 128 riders take part in
the February 19th Scrambles at the
Graham Speedway under cloudless
skies. The race at Speedway. near
the town of Puyall uP. was sponsored
by the Tacoma Motorcycle Club. It
was a well organized event.
New & Old
Riding her second season in a
traditionally male event was pert
Debbie Selden. daughter of Bob Selden. Tacoma Yamaha dealer. Debbie
rides a bike built especially for her
by her father. The IOOcc events in
which she competes were divided
into six heats of eight motorcycles
each. She placed second in the 100cc
B Main.
Other riders have been in competition for a longer time than Miss
Selden. Vern Pugh. for example.
competing in the open event, has
been riding since 1925. a record for
the day and for most days at Graham.
