T. - Vista ANSWER: The parts you require for a gearbox change are five in all and cost approximately $28.00. They are available from any Bultaco dealer. Parts are; Sleeve gear, Parts no. 311-005; Final drive 311-009; Lay shaft 111-010; Thrust washer 111-022; Circlip 116-003. The standard battery would be okay if you mounted it in rubber so that vibration did not damage the plates. Even better, is the aircraft type alkaline battery that can be obtained from most war surplus outlets. One important factor is that the battery should be completely sealed.
