We started catching some of tbe big bikes about 8 miles out, then all of a sudden we came uPon the high narrow bog back hill and tbere were at least 10 guys stuck on it in various positions, 50 I bad to stop and wait for things to clear a little 50 I could get a straigbt shot over it. A second later I bombed up balf way and had to stop for a guy witb his bike sideways on the trail. He moved over a foot and I took off again and went all the way. Dave Douglas, #51, led tbe race tbe first lap to tbe pits witb Scott Laprick coming in 2nd. Jack Morgan, #1, On a Hodaka came in 3rd. Both Jack Morgan and brotber Frank were able to catcb botb of tbe riders in front of tbem in tbe 2nd lap and came in for tbe win. This course was a real cballenge and it will give us a lot to talk about in the bencb racing sessions. Everyone enjoyed tbe run (except possibly the guys that bad to pus" their bikes back up tbe sides of that· I' back bill.)
