Lee dropped back to l eave Edwards to go on to a well deserved wi n. In the Amateur & Expert Open it was a battIe between such talent as M. Harper, and A . Fi nan getting a wild but clean sta rt, chased by a rider we shall call "The Elsinore Stuuiow!" I t was M. Harper all the way to the wire, . but not without some effort. THE OPEN NOVICE This event was not without a couple of restarts, but once the field of eight bikes got going, R. Fish, Norton mounted, out dragged the other riders at the sta rt to keep the lead from D. Hainzinger, Tri and M. Mortensen who put on quite a battle for 2nd place. A good crowd of about 370 spectators and 139 ride rs were on hand in moderately cool weather for the running of 42 events under the lights.
