"'" .... TRIALS cont. from pace 12 ~ HalTY BratUn earned first place in the Expert division. Unrortunately, I'm DOt acquajDted Mdt lilts man and I did DOt see his riding. However, his score indi- Ing systems and settling the innumerable complaints and disputes that inevitably come up. As a rider, Bob is right in the middle of the best action all the time. And, he can do things with a motorcycle that are truly unbelievable. Bob takes a spill once in a while, just like most everyone else. He fell twice Sunday, taking one of those quick horizontal trips through the handle bars. Now, when an experienced rider of his caliber takes a fall, it's usually pretty nasty. After a few minutes, however, Bob dismissed the fall, and everyone's concern, as if nothing happened. Attitudes like that really prove a person's mettle and true sportsmanship. os Q., l8 '" .... Q .... ~ - ~ _ o :i!: cates lIIat he too is a pretty tough compeUtor. Bob Nichelsen came out about three months ago with a new CZ Trials bike. He's shown all the Amateurs just what is what by winning first place every single time. He's also very much in love with "the bike, and he's justifiably proud of it's performance. Suoday, he dropped the bike in some mud and rocks - then went rolling down a steep little incline. He was smiling all over when he got UP, pearly white teeth in contrast to all that mud splattered on his face. He said later he'd had the time of his life. Everybody and anybody is welcome to come out and ride in lIIe Trials. No special clothing is needed. Men, women, and children are presently compeUng, Mlile leaming motorcycle operation, slilll and sportsmanship. The next Trials will be held in the Dana Point area again, on November 13th. A Honda Trail bike will be given away in a raffle, Why not come out and win this little bike for a dollar? Young Masters Trinmphs Jim Wilson. the wheelie-king of Dana Point, seems to have found his stride on that little Triumph Cub. He won first place in the Master division again. He's been winning first place quite often lately. No one seems to be able to get the best of him. And too, he is just a very younll: boy. He's showing UP the older men who lla.ve many more years of expe~ ience than he has. Furthermore. his riding ability warrants the attention of the Triumph dealers because they are missing a wonderful opportunity for some extremely favorable advertising. The English Trials have always been dominated I:IY Greeves machinery. Then, along comes this sixteen-year-old boy, with a very much used Cub, and shows everybody how things should be done. Jim Wilson has never competed in anything but Trials riding until now. However, he has indicated that he's setting his sights for other events.
