TV Star Exchanges Foor Feet For Two Wheels Alter seven prosperous years as the star of the TV series, ·Cheyenne·, Clint Walker has turned in his spurs! Starting wben be appeared in Sinatra's ·None But tbe Brave", he has completed seven more pictures as well as appearances on the Lucille Ball series where he plays a hilarious comedy role as Lucy's romantic interest. Walker lives with his wife and daugbter in Nortb Hollywood. He bas a new Jeep witb a winch that he uses on prospecting trips. and his other bobbies include knife-throwing and wood-carving (not necessarily at the same time). Clint has two motorcycles, (one of which is shown above) and considers desert riding and hill-climbing not only great sport but wonderful relaxation. In 1948, when Japan was st11I in the postwar economic chaos, Honda Motor Co. was established with a capital of only $2,800. Who at that time would have imagined that it waS to become the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer 10 less than two decades! It was not by sheer luck or accident that Honda has a<;hieved its present status and position, At roe time after the end of the second world war, there there as many as 70 companies in Japan producing motorcycles. However ,because of technological changes and stil'f com. petition only seven remain. Honda with its cons tant and untiring efforts has become the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer. Today, Honda's motorcycles account for more than 60% of the total of twowhee I vehicles produced in and exported from Japan, which has by far the largest motorcycle industry in the world. Honda products, notably motorcycles, are being exported to about 130 countries in virtually every corner of the world. Also, Honda assembles its two-wheelers 10 Belgium. Costa Rica, Guatemala, SOuth Korea, Nicaragua, Pakistan, the Philippines and Taiwan, all under the so-called "knock down" formula by pr0viding local concerns with parts and technology. Similar ventures will be started shortly in Sluth Africa. Malaysia. New Zealand. Thailand and Turkey. Honda's overseas sales network consists of wholly-owned subsidiaries and local distributors.
