Sept. 23, 1966 A stock Snzuki X-6, modified as a labor o[ love by two U.S. SUZIIki Motor Corp. employees, Allan Goslee and Jim Black, [or Baldwin Park Cycle, has set a hot series o[ wins at Ascot Park [or Novice fiattrack Mike Morton. Last o[ a string o[ wins was September 23rd, when Morton aboard the X-6 placed first in Novice class with slow track speed 2.10:39 with challenger showing trailing times o[ 2.14 and 2.15. Best time [or the new team o[ the X-6 and Morton was Sept. 9 with a screaminl; 2.07, proceeded Dy a 2.09 on Sept. 2nd. With only seven weeks o[ racing left at Ascot Park, Morton [eels that he can break even the best o[ records as both he and the X-6 begin to peak. Morton, tf254r in his first year o[ professional racing, is now listed in the top ten o[ Novice class on the West Coast. The 19-year-old V: mile specialist lives in North Hollywood. u.S.
