Agajanian and George Acree present short track racing every Friday night at the Vallejo Speedway in Vallejo, Calif. (59 miles N. or San Francisco.) With almost 90 riders on hand to race Class Am short track we had quite a show. The Suzuki Racing Team were there (Dick Donesteyn; Paul Bostrom, Tommy Clark) and Duane Franciso's Bultaco Racing team. . U In the 15 lap Main event by the 6th la p Di ck Dottesteyti had almost a straightaway lead over Butch Corder, better known as Mr. Short Tracker (Corde r rides a Triump h tuned by his father L en Corder of Sacramento. But once Dick got the edge over Butch in the 2nd lap he was " untouchable " . Di ck' s Suzuki is sponsored by Gary Rober tson and he does a great job of t uni ng that bike. In the T rophy Dash the race was against Dottesteyn, Dick Faria of San Pablo , Ducati mounted, Butch Corder and Duane Franci sco of Walnut Creek. At the end of the 15t lap Faria and Dorresteyn were wbeel to wheel and at the checkered flag they were stilI wheel to wheel for a dead heat win . Thi rd pl ace went to Butcb Corder and second pl ace to Duane Francisco of Walnut Creek riding a Bul taco. There were no accidents in all this action, and with 90 riders that 's really great f or anyone's r ace track.
