Sinc e I return ed , I' ve been asked many time s whether we ar e goi ng to s upp ort th e Dirt Di ggers' s t a nd co nce rni ng the A.M.A . and their c ha rte r. If the Dirt Di gger s wish tl? pursue thi s mat t er, th e A.C.A. wlll give them a ll the legal assistanc e that is necessary, and we will stand behind th em 1000/ to s ele ct 0 and choose the association the y would like to have sanction their e ve nts . W e also respect th e right they have t o s el ect the association t he y de sir e to affilia te with. T wo week s ago, a letter appeare d in Ihi s newspaper e ntitled · W hat a bout W s ?" I have been requ e sted hy several e peop l e to a nswer so me of the qu estions put forth in this article, a nd I will be more th an happy to do s o. T here a re many poin t s rai s ed whic h woul d ta ke a gre at deal of s pace to co ve r a nd a great many words, hut in hrief, th e A.C. A. is, more or less , a one-man ope ration, but s o a re othe r organ izations. Fo r one man to run an y association would be virtu ally impossi hle; it tak e a grea t deal o f help and work by many people. I hav e s pearheaded th e A.C.A wilh principle s th at are upheld by othe r individuals , a n d t hese people are really th e ones who made th e A.C.A . grow. We would very much like t o s e e F .l.M. rules us ed in this count ry at motorcycling e vent s , an d we hav e upheld th ese rul e s to th e best o f our ability. The ad option by othe r motor cy cling associations of these rule s will help forward motor cycling i n th e United State s , as well as I:~ing inte rnational competition to this co untry. It is a te rri ble feeli ng to go to international rac es an d s ee all the countries repres e nt ed with th eir rider s and not have o ne of t he greatest nations i n tbe worl d repres ented. It makes you fee l , mo re or less , like an out s id e cous i n to a great s po rt.
