Onc e on the lake I noti ced an old a ban do ne d house which we decided to s pe nd the night in be cause it was gett i ng la te . So we l an de d t he boat an d pulled it up to the old house. We carried most of our stuff inside. '1 went down to a store to p ho ne J une and le t them kno w we wouldn' t be home t~ ni ght . When I got bac k we started a fire where One had been going inside the house. We planned on cooking our fish a nd drying out our we t clothes. Just as the fir e got going. a man c Wl\e ba rgin g in . yelli ng at us and cussing Ius for trespassing on his property. He told us to get the hell out of here and leave the boat he re. Mark said we couldn 't do that. The man s aid he was goi ng to call t he s he riff. We quic kly pulled our boat into the lake and we re gone within minutes. We di dn' t know wha t to do now so we decide d to s tay at an ice hou s e just at the e nd of t he lake. We pl an ne d on sleeping outside and bui ll a fire near the ti n hous e. Aft er thi s we fis he d on the s ho re of the l ak e. We caught fish as soo n as our bait hit th e wa ter. W fis hed e ti ll dar k, then laid down next to th e fire. We didn ' t ha ve any s leeping stuff . just Ou r ra ins uit s . About tw elve o'clock I got up an d lI t th e fire a ga in becau s e neither one of us wa s ab l e to ge t a bit o f s l e e p. Ev en by the fire it was cold a nd we were ru nni ng out of wood_ W e de cid e d to try and sleep in the old ice hous e . so we spe nt the res t of the night i n t he re .
