It is my intentio n to report weekly on ou r eve nts here a nd in Re no . Her e i n the Las Vegas ar ea we have t he Southern Nevada M.C . Racing Association. This grou p consists of fou r active clubs and the "Silver Quee ns" girls' motorcycle cluh . Having a slight abundance of desert spots to choose from. the y alternate be- twee n t he fiattrack (sout h of Las Vegas) and va rious trails around the area, th ree Sunda ys pe r month . For the street riders there ls an event almost every two weeks. T he last Hot Dog Run put on in March drew 117 eager and hungry riders. More rides are in the planning now and will be co ve red as they occur. This past Sunday saw a large number of our racing c rowd hit the trail for Sp roc ket s P ar k near Baker s fi eld , whe re they equalled the hardwar e grab take n by the Sprockets during their recent invasion of Vegas two weeks ago. To close off this fi rst offering , a word to t he motorcycle enthusiasts here: Cycle News has given us t he chance to make our activities known , so I'll need help from ou r people.
