F or drag racin g it is bes t to hav e co nfi de nce -an d gear for a 's peed slight ly (one tooth or 3 to 5 mph) faste r than your cl ass record. Remember. the more teeth on the rear sp rocket th e s lower yo ur t op s pe ed, and the more on the counte r s haft, the greater the top s peed. Every change in a counte r s haft tooth is equi valent to a change of 2 or 3 On the rear . BY varyi ng these figu res in computing gearing you can cont rol your bike ' s performance very well.
