8 DRAG RACING continued COMING UP ton Honda 350 is capable of gunning better than that. You have been warned! Yamahas also showed a fine turn of speed. Paul Conserriere, the half mile dirt track star, turned in 13.5899.33 mph, the best I can recall for the quarter by a Yam. This was the same machine that carried him to victory in the Novice Class last year. Bob Michael took top fuel when Sirkegian fouled. Bob one is only running 60 % nitro for fear of blowing gaskets. but will move up to 90% when the problem is solved. But even the low percentage yielded 11.40 E.T. at 121.95. (Results on page 10) Fontana Drag City will be running Sundays starting Dec. 5th. Lions will continue as usual with Saturdays and Sundays. Most recent recorded example occured last week when we identified the lightweight sidehack winners at Hopetown as Crotz and Soteras, not only in the results, but (w orse ) in Bultaco's proud ad. We could blame the promoting club for supplying the wrong names, but we'll bear the responsibility. So for the record, the lightweight sidehack winners at Hopetown were Jim and John LeBlanc, " oC the sidehack riding LeBlanc family. And they were definitely riding a Bultaco Metisse rig. Also for t he record, Bultaco Western's pho ne number is PO 9-0441. I San Fernando Valley Harley - Davidson Sales ~ Three winners chased, and their Thanksgiving dinners.
