NO-SHOW RJ Hampshire was third in points going into the Utah race, but the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Team rider was a no-show. Hampshire used the time off to have knee sur- gery, thinking racing would resume in September. He tore the ACL in the knee prior to the start of the 250SX East Championship and was planning to have surgery at the after the Supercross series. BUSTED UP Broc Tickle's return to racing was a short one. During the first practice, the JGRMX Suzuki rider crashed and broke his hand and had to sit out the rest of the day.
