Ivan Oden of Norwalk led the fi rst six laps before breaking a chain coming out of the first turn. Tillman, right behind him, slipped into the lead while Ba laa m swept inside Scott and into second place. T h e next night Balaam again won the 100cc main on his Yamaha and again lost th e 250cc main - this time to Honda-mounted Mike Tillman of Canoga Park. Bal a am won the 100cc dash for the second straight night. Lakewood's Dav e Smith won the 50cc trophy dash, then fell to Keith Marshburn in the main.
