Fahringer Wins Covid Crusher
Extreme Enduro
T
he Hard Enduro SRT/SEER
(South East Extreme Riders)
championship managed to get in
round three at the Hollytree Off-
Road Park in Guntersville, Ala-
bama, May 24, where Sherco's
Nick Fahringer came away with
the Gold-class and overall wins.
There was plenty of drama be-
fore the race even got underway.
Heavy rain leading up to the race
made some sections impassable,
so several last-minute changes
were made to the racecourse.
Ninety-five riders from 17 states
signed up to do battle on what
turned out to be an extremely
challenging race to finish within
the four-hour time limit.
Fahringer's main challenger
for the win was Quinn Wentzel.
Wentzel kept Fahringer honest
throughout the race but, in the
end, Fahringer stayed tough
and held on for the win ahead of
Wentzel.
Chuck DeLullo, Jason Gil-
leland and Wes Kelley, the top
Bronze rider, rounded out the top
five overall.
Twenty-seven racers made up
the Silver class with Davis Jack-
son, Steve McNeal and Nathan
Taylor making up the podium.
The largest class with 42
competitors was the Bronze divi-
sion, where Kelley took the win
ahead of Chris Evans and Jimmy
Rose. CN
