Scott Parker landed on the cover of Cycle News 30 years ago after
dominating the San Jose Mile. Parker shared the cover with Jean-Michel
Bayle who won the Camel Supercross Series round at the Meadowlands
in New Jersey... Australian Jeff Leisk won the 500cc World Championship
MX round in Brou, France. Eric Geboers made it a Honda 1-2. Pedro
Tragter won the 125cc MX GP in Holland. American Tyson Vohland and
Donny Schmit went 2-3... Scott
Summers won the Winter Place
National Hare Scrambles/GNCC in
Flat Top, West Virginia.

Colin Edwards was featured on the cover 20 years ago for winning a round
of the World Superbike Championship at Monza. He traded wins with Pier-
Francesco Chili. Edwards shared the cover with Mike Brown who captured
his first career GP win after winning both 125cc motos in Croatia... Round
two of the outdoor motocross championship played out at Hangtown, where
David Vuillemin won with 2-2 moto finishes; local favorite Steve Lamson
topped the 125cc class... Doug Blackwell nabbed the first pro win of his
career when he topped the Wilderness GNCC in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
