Frenchman Jean-Michel Bayle and Spaniard Jordi Tarres shared the
cover of Cycle News 30 years ago. Bayle won the Tampa Supercross
and Tarres won the World Trials round that was held in Globe, Arizona. An
AMA Trials National round was also held in conjunction, and Colorado's
Mark Manniko took the win... Danny Hamel had to push his seized KTM
approximately a half mile to the finish line before he and teammate Dan
Smith could claim the win at the San
Felipe 250 by just 45 seconds over
the Larry Roeseler/Danny LaPorte
duo.
