Sylvain Guintoli Explains The Leg Dangle
S
uzuki's official MotoGP test ridder
Sylvain Guintoli has released a very
interesting video on exactly why riders
dangle their leg when entering a corner
under brakes.
Guintoli's analysis essentially gives four
reasons why riders dangle a leg. The first
is it lowers your center of gravity, then it
moves more weight to the rear of the bike,
improves body position and increases your
aerodynamic drag to act like a wind break.
Guintoli has plenty of experience to back
up his findings, and his video is a good
watch for anyone curious on the topic. CN
Evans On The Mend
H
onda HRC Factory moto-
crosser Mitch Evans recently
underwent successful surgery
after injuring his shoulder in
round two of the FIM Motocross
World Championship in Valken-
swaard, Netherlands.
According to a release from
the team: Performed by the
respected Dr. Steve Andrews at
the Brisbane Private Hospital,
the arthroscopic anterior stabili-
zation went smoothly and with-
out complications, giving Evans
the best possible chance to
recover as quickly as possible
during this enforced absence
from the MXGP calendar.
At the moment, the next
scheduled event is in Russia
on June 6 in just over three
months' time, but with the
nature of the current Covid-19
pandemic causing uncertainty,
there is no real timeline for the
Australian's next race and as
such, he can concentrate on
his recuperation and getting
back to the form that saw him
go three-seven in his first ever
MXGP round at Matterley Basin,
Great Britain. CN
