Coronavirus Racing Update
H
ere is a roundup of the latest
information regarding major
motorcycle racing events happen-
ing (or not) around the world.
The Monster Energy AMA
Supercross season is still on hold
with no recent announcements
coming from Feld Entertainment
as to what might become of the
2020 championship.
American Flat Track (AFT) has
postponed the March 28 Atlanta
Short Track and April 4 Charlotte
Half-Mile. The May 16 Sacramen-
to Mile has also been postponed,
as well as the May 2 Texas Half-
Mile and May 9 So-Cal Half-Mile.
The March 22 Caprock Nation-
al Enduro in Turkey, Texas, has
been rescheduled for November
15. Round two of the champion-
ship is still set for April 26 in For-
est Hill, Louisiana.
The AMA National Hare &
Hound Championship has can-
celed rounds five and six in Jeri-
cho, Utah, and Murphy, Idaho,
respectively. The next round
is scheduled for August 22 in
Panaca, Nevada.
The opening round of the 2020
WESS Enduro World Champion-
ship, the Extreme XL Lagares in
Portugal, has been postponed.
Round two, the Trefle Lozerien
AMV, in France, has been can-
celed. The Ezerbergrodeo is still
set for June 10-14.
WORCS postponed rounds
three and four at Lake Havasu
City, Arizona, which were sched-
uled for later this month. They are
looking to reschedule the motor-
cycles rounds some time in late
April "if at all possible" and say
an announcement will be made
on April 1. The Blythe WORCS
round scheduled for April 17-19
at Shorty's Sports Park has also
been postponed with no replace-
ment date yet announced.
SCORE rescheduled the
March 20-22 San Felipe 250 to
May 9 and postponed the June
3-7 Baja 500 to June 16-17.
The MotoTrials opener that
was scheduled to take place in
Wilseyville, California, April 25-
26, is now going to take place
May 23-24.
Round three of the Full Gas
Sprint Enduro Series in North
Carolina, March 28-29, has been
postponed.
The May 25-29 Merzouga Rally
in Morocco has been canceled.
The next MXGP race (round
three) is scheduled for June 7 in
Orlyonok, Russia.
The opening round of the OMA
Championship scheduled for
March 21-22 in Prophetstown,
Illinois, has been postponed.
And, the James Stewart Free-
stone Spring Championship MX
(March 16-21) which was can-
celed this past weekend won't be
rescheduled.
