Still, the Daytona Vintage Supercross is perhaps more about the mo-
torcycles than the racing. Many of the motorcycles seen over the course
of the day were obviously well cared for by their proud owners who were
probably anxious about getting them dirty and perhaps damaged, but
they raced them anyway.
There were many classes to accommodate the wide variety of motor-
cycles and their ages, which covered at least four decades. From Pen-
tons to Maicos to Hondas, there were many cool motorcycles to check
out, not only on display but on the track. The most modern motorcycles
