OFF-ROAD GRAND NATIONAL CROSS-COUNTRY SERIES PRESENTED BY SPECIALIZED ROUND 3/ MARCH 15, 2020 AONIA PASS MX / WASHINGTON, GEORGIA P52 said Girroir. "The last lap was hectic, I crashed two or three times, made a bunch of mis- takes and then was able to get by Craig. He got back by me and I showed him a wheel a couple times and then Mike was bump- ing my rear tire the whole time trying to get around me. It was a hard-fought last lap but it's good for it to be over." Like his brother, FactoryONE/ Sherco's Grant Baylor got a bad start, but steadily worked his way up into sixth by the finish. Witkowski, who won the XC2 division in the first race of the season was seventh, while Coastal Racing Husqvarna's roir], and I were together all race. It was all the way to the end. I think it was kind of who was lucky the most. The lappers played a big key in it. It was just about being smooth and picking different lines than what every- body else was doing." Trail Jesters Racing KTM's Jonathan Girroir kept Delong and Am Pro Yamaha's Mike Witkowski honest, as the three battled back and forth for the lead in the XC2 division. In the end, Girroir finished fifth. "I had a good day. I knew it was going to be a fight this year in the championship with Craig [Delong] and Mike [Witkowski]," lost sight of those guys. I think I may have been able to keep up a little bit more, but you never know. So, I lost sight of them, and then it started to rain a bit, so it got slippery. I was just happy to ride around and stay safe." Newly signed Rockstar Ener- gy Husqvarna rider Craig Delong finished fourth and became the third XC2 winner of the season in three races. Delong credited luck for the win, but he rode an amazing race to put the 250 into fourth. "It was brutal, for sure," said Delong. "Definitely wasn't easy. Mike [Witkowski], Johnny [Gir- Becca Sheets won the Women's Elite class.
