knee on Monday, March 9. Smith has struggled since the 250SX East opener and was recently called back to California to start riding and testing with his Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki team instead of doing it at home in North Carolina. DISPARITY TLD/Red Bull KTM's Pierce Brown barely made it into the 250SX main event after he fell early in the 250SX LCQ, but he clawed his way into the main, finishing third in the LCQ. Then he finished a solid sixth in the main event. He said on social media: "My goal right now is to be back racing by Seattle. With this type of injury, stability wise you can come back really quickly—as I'm sure you've seen other riders do in the past. At this point, in my situation, we want to limit the risk and make sure the bone is strong when I do return. Do- ing what I can right now to improve so we can pick up right where we left off! See you soon." Briefly... VOLUME 57 ISSUE 10 MARCH 10, 2020 P67 Cooper Webb (1) had a good start, but even the defending champ didn't have anything for Tomac en route to a third-place finish.
