IIIMY OWN RACE:
get bumped, I'm going to bump back.
That's the way it is. I mean, mine might
have been a li le bit more of a hit, but
really, I'm just giving it back. It was a
ght track tonight, and that's what
leads to those situa ons, so it's really
hard to make the pass s ck. You had to
go inside in the bowl turns. That was
really the only spot tonight. I was in a
hurry, Kenny was out front, and that
was all I could do. And the one with
Blake [Bagge ], that one was—I didn't
mean it to be that bad. I thought I had
good momentum to slingshot from the
outside to in, but he was already com-
ing down [the berm]. The ght track
really makes it hard to make moves,
and that was that. So, I was fortunate
to get back to fourth."
the track broke down more
than I thought it would, and that
can make it tough to keep your
composure throughout the entire
main event. I had such a blast
out there. I felt really good all day
and just laid it out there, and this
is what we had to do. My bike
has been working phenomenal
today—I'm really happy with it—
and every time I win, I'm happier
and happier, so winning just gets
more fun and more addicting."
With eight rounds left to run,
the championship is tied at the
top, with Roczen and Tomac
both on 200 points. Remarkably,
Webb gained ground despite
racing with a massive hematoma
on his back/sacrum. He started
the night 26 points out of the
lead, and now he's 24 points out.
Barcia began the night 27 points
out of the lead and is now 23
points out.
Potentially bad news for the
competition, though: Next week-
end is the Daytona Supercross,
and Tomac has won that race
three of the last four years.
