IIIMY OWN RACE: me a li le bit to get used to it, and it looked super-tacky, but it's actually very slippery. The first main was really good. I think the second one is the most important to have a good main event, and that one didn't go our way, but all in all, with all of the big crashes there were all day, I'm really happy with how we executed. Even in the last main event, we fought hard and went back and forth with Eli a couple mes and just rode a li le bit be er in traffic. We salvaged a second place overall, which I was sa sfied with this weekend." 21 JASON ANDERSON 3RD 450SX (3-2-5) Jason Anderson had a solid night and was leading the final main event un l he was caught by Tomac, and then a fall at the end of the whoops knocked him out of the running for the overall win. "Once I got out front, I knew it was me to start trying to flow," Anderson said. "But I haven't led races in a long me. So, for me, I was kind of ght up there and riding a li le mid. But all-in-all, I was excited. I'm having a good me out there racing. I'm kind of bummed that I had a li le bit of a crash there at the end, but it feels so good to be in the ba le with these guys, because the past couple weekends, I haven't really done that. I haven't really done that all year. So it was nice to be up there and be toward the end of the race and know you s ll have a shot at that win. It was a breath of fresh air for me." SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 8 / FEBRUARY 22, 2020 AT&T STADIUM / ARLINGTON, TEXAS P58 place, where he would finish. The win in the third main event, and overall, went to Tomac, with Roczen second in the main and overall. Anderson's fifth in the final race was enough for third overall, with Barcia fourth and Osborne fifth on the night. Tomac has never been the sole owner of the red plate two weeks in a row in 450SX, but that streak has been broken. "It's just really nice to get through this one," Tomac said. "That being said, this year, I feel like I'm just in a better place. I have a really good base that way. Before I almost felt a little bit nervous in that situation and made In the final 450SX main event, Osborne got out to the early lead, while Tomac tried to work his way forward from just outside the top five. Anderson passed Osborne for the lead and, at that point, led the overall for the night. However, Tomac was already on his way to the front and was putting in lap times nearly a second faster than anybody on the track. Tomac went by Anderson for the lead with a handful of laps remaining and then took off. A few laps later, while trying to hold off Roczen for second, Ander- son went down at the end of the whoops and got back up in fifth Jason Anderson came within a few laps of taking the overall win but had to settle for third when it was all over.
