Suzuki's Larry Ward was pictured on the cover 30 years ago for capturing
his first career win in his home state of Washington at the Seattle
Supercross. Ward and Jeff Matiasevich battled for the win. Ty Davis
won the 125cc main… Ted Hunnicutt took the overall win at the Moose
Run National Enduro in Ridgecrest, California… Tallon Vohland was
the big winner at the Indoor MX
Championship at the Cow Palace in
San Francisco… Mike Healey and
Pete Murray won the CMC Golden
State Nationals at Hangtown.

Our Daytona Preview highlighted our Cycle News issue 20 years ago.
We featured the previous year Daytona 200 winner Miguel Duhamel on
the cover… Jeremy McGrath won again. This time at the Silverdome
in Pontiac, Michigan. Stephane Roncada won the 125cc main event…
We covered the Wilseyville National Hare Scrambles, where Kawasaki
Team Green's Paul Edmondson took the overall win… The Pearson
cousins, Nick and David, took the overall win at the Laughlin U.S. Hare
Scrambles Championship team race.
