Bollinger
Sidelined With
Injury
R
ockstar Energy Husqvarna Team
rider Trevor Bollinger injured his
knee while competing in the open-
ing round of the Kenda AMA National
Enduro Series in South Carolina, Feb-
ruary 2. He suffered a torn ACL and
meniscus in his left leg as the result of
a crash.
After taking a week off, it was de-
termined that Bollinger would need to
undergo surgery to repair the torn liga-
ments. The North Carolina native was
slated to compete in the 2020 Grand
National Cross Country Series and AMA National
Enduro Series but will instead watch from the
sidelines for an indefinite period while he goes
through his recovery process.
"This off-season went very smoothly, and I was
feeling really good coming into the 2020 season.
Unfortunately, I crashed in the third test at the
National Enduro season opener, and I tried my
best to push through the rest of the day. After a
week of intense swelling in my knee, I decided to
get it checked out, and now I will be heading into
surgery next week. It's a bummer for my team
and myself as we had everything in place to be a
good year." CN
Lawrence's
Return On Hold
G
eico Honda's Hunter Lawrence was hoping
to suit up for the opening round of the 2020
250SX East Championship at the February 15 Tampa
Supercross, but his return has been put on hold.
The young Aussie and hopeful title contender for
the Geico Honda Team suffered a shoulder injury
earlier this year, and it now looks as though he
might sit out the entire AMA Supercross season and
instead focus on the outdoor nationals.
Lawrence's brother, Jett, who is competing in
the 250SX West Championship, is also recovering
from a broken collarbone suffered at the Anaheim 2
Supercross. CN
Trevor Bollinger,
one of Husqvarna's
top off-road riders
who was expected
to compete for the
2020 GNCC title,
will instead miss
several rounds with
a knee injury.
Geico Honda's
Hunter Lawrence
could miss the
entire 250SX East
Championship
with a shoulder
