FEBRUARY 14, 1990
Damon Bradshaw, who was pictured on the cover along with Dan Smith
and Steve Lamson, proved that the first Supercross win of his career a
week earlier was no fluke when he won again seven days later at the Houston
Supercross. Jeff Emig won the 125cc main for his first career Supercross
victory… Smith was pictured on the cover for his win at the AMA Hare &
Hound National opener at Lucerne
Valley… Ted Hunnicutt and Dan
Ashcraft teamed up and won the
SCORE Parker 400.

We test rode the all-new 2000 Honda CBR929RR, which was featured
on the cover of Cycle News 20 years ago… We reported that the last
living man to have raced motorcycles in the board-track era, Jim Davis,
had passed away at the age of 103… Jeremy McGrath got back to
winning at the Houston Supercross after having been beaten by David
Vuillemin the previous two weeks. Derrick Shae Bentley won the
125cc West main event… We tested the GasGas XC250 off-road bike.
