heat one, followed by Bitter-
man and Zachary Butkiewicz.
Heat two followed in similar
fashion with Peters finishing in
first, Gared Steinke second and
Adam Cranford third.
The 450 Pro heat races
proved to be drama-free, as
well. Owen won the first heat,
followed by Steinke and Richard
Jackson. Peters won heat two
followed by Bitterman and Rustin
Meyer.
Peters dominated the 250
Pro main. He had the outright
lead by the first corner and
rode a near-perfect race to
secure the win. Owen rode well
and was securely in second
place throughout the race, but
he never got close enough to
Peters to seriously challenge
for the top spot. The real battle
was for third place as Bitterman,
Steinke and Jackson all raced
neck and neck throughout the 12
laps, vying for the final spot on
the podium. Bitterman ended up
winning that battle.
The 450 Pro main was pos-
sibly the most exciting pro race
of the season thus far, definitely
of the weekend. Owen took the
lead early and held strong for
the majority of the laps, but with
every passing lap, Peters was
closing the gap little by little.
Just when it looked as though
Owen may be able to hang on to
this one, Peters passed Owen
in a corner turn and held on to
continue his winning streak.
There was another battle for third
among Bitterman, Steinke and
Jackson, with Bitterman hanging
on to take third again.
On Saturday, the 250 Pro main
heat one kicked off the show with
exciting action. Steinke and Bit-
terman battled until the very end.
Steinke held the lead throughout,
although Bitterman threatened to
take over at every turn. Ultimately,
Steinke held on to win the heat,
followed by Bitterman and Jack-
son. Peters won heat two ahead
of Owen and Greye Tate.
Jace Owen (1) and Kyle
Bitterman (581) provided
Peters with his toughest
competition. They each
came away with a pair of
second-place finishes.
