combined to win nine of the 10
rounds on the national circuit last
year. Stewart and Grant ended up
finishing 1-2 in the championship
last year.
"Today was up and down," said
Steward. "We only had one day on
these new bikes. We broke them
in yesterday and it was a huge
race, giving them just one day
of saddle time before the race.
Despite arriving late to the party,
Steward finished second, nine
seconds behind Kelley, while
Grant, finished third, another 17
seconds back. Despite it all, it
was a good start for the Sherco
team, with both of its riders finish-
ing out the day on the podium.
Regardless, the Baylor broth-
ers were considered the favor-
able to do that and hit my marks
for the most part. My first-ever
National Enduro win, after a year
of not racing them. I just felt really
good. Just stoked to get the win."
The Baylor brothers switched
to the FactoryONE Sherco
team during the off-season after
spending much of their careers
on KTM. Unfortunately, they were
still putting the final touches on
