look up in Oakland after he finished
second in his heat race following
a knock-down, drag-out battle with
Austin Forkner, but then in the main
event, Mosiman started midpack
and then washed out the front end
very suddenly entering a turn and
was hit by a racer just behind him.
He scored his second DNF of the
year after hitting his head in the
crash.
MY RIGHT FOOT
Honda's 450SX points leader Ken
Roczen was rather unceremoni-
ously moved out of the way by
defending champ Cooper Webb
for second place in the final turn
of the Oakland 450SX main event,
and apparently Webb made contact
with Roczen's right foot. Roczen
pulled his boot off to check his foot
before putting the boot back on and
limping up onto the podium. "I don't
think it's anything crazy," Roczen
said. "It's just my foot; I don't know
if it got stuck in something, or if
it's from when it got hit [by Cooper
Webb], or whatever. It was just a
bit of a stinger. But it's nothing too
crazy; nothing I'm worried about."
AUSSIE POWERS
The Penrite Honda team made a
splash in Oakland. The Australia-
based team's racers Luke Clout and
Mitchell Oldenburg traded the top
spot throughout 250SX heat two
before finishing third (Oldenburg)
and fourth (Clout), and then in the
main event they ended up finishing
fifth (Clout) and sixth (Oldenburg),
respectively. They're now the top
Hondas in the 250SX points stand-
