Redondi Suffers
Broken Ankle
R
ockstar Energy Husqvarna Off-Road
Team rider Giacomo Redondi will be out
of action for four to eight weeks after suffer-
ing a broken ankle while training in Southern
California, January 31.
As a result, the former WORCS Champion
will sit out the next several rounds of the 2020
WORCS Championship.
"After the first round of WORCS [in Primm,
Nevada], I was feeling really good and really
comfortable on the bike," Redondi said, "and I
was gaining more confidence about my riding
style and my speed. I went to the moto track
and the feeling was good, the speed was
really good and then the crash happened.
I'm going to try to make a really good rehab
and hoping to not lose too much time, but I'm already looking
forward to getting back and to try to be on the podium again."
The Italian finished third in Primm and was considered a
championship contender. CN
Blose Sidelined With Injuries
C
hris Blose of the FXR/Chaparral Honda
Racing Team reported on Instagram
that the injuries he suffered at the Glendale
Supercross in Arizona will keep him laid up
for a while.
Blose was one of the many victims in one
of the track's whoop sections.
Blose was competing in the 450SX class
when he went down, suffering four fractured
ribs, a dislocated wrist, a fracture to his
femur and a small laceration to his liver. The
wrist injury, he said, will require surgery.
Blose's intentions were to compete in the
250SX East Championship and the 450SX
races on the West Coast. It is not known
exactly how long he'll be out of action. CN
