Bolt Wins Budapest SuperEnduro
B
illy Bolt made up for a rocky
start to win the penultimate
round of the 2020 FIM SuperEn-
duro Championship in Budapest,
Hungary, February 1. The Rock-
star Energy Husqvarna Team
rider, Bolt, edged out a pair of
Red Bull KTM Team riders, Jonny
Walker and Taddy Blazusiak,
to solidify his points lead in the
championship with just one round
left on the schedule. Bolt holds
a 16-point advantage over Blazu-
siak going into the championship
decider in Poland in two weeks.
"Arriving in Poland with a
16-point lead seems like a lot, but
it's far from enough," Bolt said.
"The championship is never over
until it's over and SuperEnduro
is unpredictable, there is still so
much that can happen."
Plus, Blazusiak has a slight
advantage going into the last race
in that it's being hosted in his
native Poland, so the multi-time
AMA EnduroCross Champion will
certainly have the support of the
home crowd.
In Hungary, Bolt struggled
in the first of the three featured
races. A couple of crashes,
which included a spectacular
over-the-handlebars dismount,
had him playing catch-up the
entire race. Despite the hiccups,
Bolt salvaged third in the race be-
hind winner Walker and runner-
up Blazusiak.
Despite the reverse start in
race two, Bolt somehow man-
aged to get to the front almost
immediately and ultimately won
the race with room to spare over
race-one winner Walker and third-
