own look and identity, thanks
to having a different fuel tank,
shrouds and side panels, not to
mention polar opposite colors.
Mechanically, the TE250 and
FE350 are nearly identical to the
XC and XCF-W, but there are a
few differences worth mentioning. For one the 'Bergs feature
lighter composite injected-molded plastic subframes (unlike the
KTM's aluminum subframes), the
FE has a cooling fan behind the
radiator, the XC-F-W does not.
To save weight, the Husaberg's
have been stripped of their
back-up manual kickstarters, the
KTMs come with the kick lever
still installed. But the biggest difference between the Husabergs
and the KTMs is the fork, and this
applies to all of the Husaberg and
KTM off-road models.
Unlike the KTMs, the Husabergs get the latest and greatest
in fork technology offered by WP.
Opposed to KTM's WP closedcartridge fork, the Husabergs
come fitted with WP's latest bladder-less 4CS 4-chamber closedcartridge fork. One of the first
