ince 1978, the first Supercross
racer to win two races on the
season has gone on to win the
championship that year 60% of the
time (in 25 out of 42 championships).
In sweeping the Triple Crown event in
Glendale, Arizona, Honda HRC's Ken
Roczen is now the first racer to win two
450SX races in 2020, so the odds are
in his favor to win his first-ever 450SX
championship.
However, 40% of the time, the first
racer to win two races on the season
has failed to win the title. Damon Brad-
shaw did this both in 1990 and 1992.
Ezra Lusk did it in 1998 and 1999. And
Roczen himself has done this twice
as well, in 2015 and 2017. No racer in
