Argubright Wins National
Hare & Hound Opener
D
epending on how one looks
at it, Off-Road Support/
TBT Racing Kawasaki privateer
Jacob Argubright got the Kenda/
SRT AMA Hare & Hound National
Championship Series, Presented
by FMF, off to either a great start
or a rough start at Lucerne Val-
ley, California, January 26. But it
could also be accurately de-
scribed as both. After all, he did
win the Desert Motorcycle Club's
53rd Annual Winter Classic—the
opening round of the series—to
repeat his result from last year en
route to taking the championship
for the first time.
However, it was certainly not
smooth sailing for the Kawasaki
Team Green/Maxima/Fly Racing-
mounted KX450 rider who com-
pleted the two separate 40-mile
loops in two hours, seven min-
utes and 48 seconds, followed
onto the podium by Purvines Rac-
ing's Nick Burson (2:10:37) and
3 Bros./SRT Husqvarna's Ryan
Smith (2:10:59).
In only his second
H&H National, Beta
support rider Cole
Conatser got his
campaign off to a
great start, coming
from behind to take
the Pro 250 victory.
