Iannone's
Doping
Hearing Date
Set
A
prilia MotoGP rider Andrea
Iannone's hearing date for his
doping charge has been set for
February 4, ensuring he will miss
the first MotoGP pre-season test.
Iannone was found to have test-
ed positive for an anabolic steroid
at the 2019 Malaysian MotoGP,
which he claims was the result of
eating contaminated food. The
Italian submitted a second urine
sample, which also tested posi-
tive, according to Italian media.
The burden of proof is now on
Iannone who has strongly denied
any wrongdoing with regard to the
positive sample.
Iannone will attend a hearing
of the FIM's International Disci-
plinary Court in Switzerland on
February 4 and has until January
31 to prepare a list of witnesses.
The date of the hearing means
his place in the Aprilia squad will
likely be taken by test rider Bradley
Smith, who, if Iannone's possible
four-year ban is upheld, is also
first in line for the race seat for the
2020 season. CN

f you're one of the very select few who will be parking a Ducati
Panigale V4SL Superleggera in your garage, a new video has

bodywork. So, basically, it's carbon fiber everything.
The motor is Ducati's most powerful production lump yet, with
a claimed 234 horsepower pushing just 335 pounds of claimed
dry weight, 40 pounds reduction over the already stonking V4 R.
The price is eye-watering at $100,000. Deliveries are expect-
ed by May 2020. CN
