he first two rounds of the 2020 Monster Energy AMA
Supercross Series were similar for Monster Energy Kawa-
saki's Eli Tomac in the 450SX class and Monster Energy/
Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha's Dylan Ferrandis in the 250SX
West class. Both racers have indubitable speed in their respec-
tive classes, but both suffered from chronic bad starts in the first
two rounds that kept them out of the winner's circle. And both of
them managed to overcome early deficits at Anaheim 2 to come
away as the winners for the first time in 2020.
